The long-awaited debut release of Paxman Fever and Astral Parade fuels the unstoppable rise of Ether Mech, from their humble beginnings playing dingy basement gigs to their recent heights playing dingy squat gigs. Formed in late 2019 from the seething mess of Manchester community organising, Ether Mech’s current members are Madeleine Françoise on bass, synth and vocals, Vivien Holmes on guitar and vocals, and Rami Yasir on drums. The trio stirs elements of punk, noise, pop and disco into a cathartic blend of sound. Life is difficult and confusing, and so is their music.

From the disco beats and arena-rock guitar of Paxman Fever to the pumped-up rhythm and saw-blade vocals of Astral Parade, the tracks on this double single spin raw emotion into even rawer tunes. Catch the (paxman) fever and move your body as the band takes you on a history lesson from the future. Watch the (astral) parade from your place amongst the stars; o lonely homosexual, in intimate contact with the eldritch horrors of space.
